Exploring
Anthroposophical
Meditation

Online Conference 22–25 April 2021
streamed from the Goetheanum

‹Living Connections› is an exploration of anthroposophical meditation. A practice for people who wish to engage self-confidently with questions and meaning of cosmos, as well as professional challenges. Supported by open exchange of experience and methods, it becomes a path of individual initiative. The living connection of all practitioners is the substance of this event.

This year, due to the current regulations, the conference will be online via Zoom in both English and German. We see this as an opportunity to gather together in spirit despite distance, and also to explore the reality and capacity of the online context for ‹Living Connections› & Anthroposophical Meditation. We invite you to join and contribute to the experience.

The title ‹Living Connections› refers on the one hand, to the relationship each and every one of us carries to ourself; an inner dialogue connecting us to something higher, beyond the limitations of our physical boundaries. On the other hand, it refers to the connections with everything we meet outside of us: people, nature and other beings in the world. The intention of ‹Living Connections› is to open exploratory spaces through encounters and conversations, in which living connections may emerge as a support for a fragile, unknowable future.

The background of this event is the ‹Goetheanum Meditation Worldwide Initiative›, part of the <General Section of the School of Spiritual Science of the Anthroposophical Society>. This network started 10 years ago with a small group of people and today it encompasses several hundred people worldwide. Its motivation is to bring anthroposophical meditation into conversation; to research, improve and make visible the inspirations of anthroposophical meditation in today’s world.

This conference intends to enhance personal and professional development and efficacy in the face of the complexity of our time. Personal, to practice the inner response to outer challenges; professional, to tap into a well-spring of resources within the human soul. If you feel the interest to develop personal tools such as reflection, contemplation and meditation, recognizing these as vital elements of life, this conference is for you. You will have the chance to explore different approaches, be inspired through the sharing of ideas and experience, and discuss together in research themes and groups.

The conference is for participants with interest or experience in Anthroposophical Meditation; from those who have no current experience, to those who have an established personal practice. All are welcome to attend, and the workshops on offer will cater to different levels and areas of experience and interest. You can decide which suit you.

Register below for this online conference, to receive the links and workshop information. You can see the timetable here, and when registered you will receive access to the zoom link information a few days before the conference starts.

Workshop information will be updated in the first weeks of April 2021.

This conference and initiative are organised by a group of dedicated volunteers and is offered by donation. Please consider contributing to support future in-person and online events for the worldwide community.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
